Edit System Details

You can edit the system details, such as the virtual IP addresses and Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDNs) for UI, device connection, and log collector.

To edit the system details:

  1. Log in to the Juniper Security Director UI.

  2. Select Administration > System Management > System.

    The System page is displayed. You can view the system details that are displayed on the page.

  3. Click Edit.

    The Edit System Details page is displayed.

  4. Edit the system details as described in Table 1.

    You cannot edit the management address in the Juniper Security Director portal. To change the management address, use the CLI command set ipaddress change <ip-address>. See set ipaddress change.

    Field Description

    UI address

    IP address to access the Juniper Security Director GUI.

    Your current session might disconnect if you change the UI IP address or FQDN. Use the updated information to log in to the Juniper Security Director UI.

    UI FQDN

    FQDN that resolves to UI virtual IP address.

    Your current session might disconnect if you change the UI IP address or FQDN. Use the updated information to log in to the Juniper Security Director UI.

    Device connection address

    IP address used to establish connection between the managed devices (SRX Series Firewalls) and Juniper Security Director.

    If your device is already enrolled, you need to disenroll it before changing the device connection address. After you've changed the address, you can then re-enroll the device.

    Device connection FQDN

    FQDN that resolves to device connection virtual IP address.

    Modifying FQDNs for device connections might affect associated services such as EMS.

    Log collector address

    IP address used to store the device log collectors.

    If your device is already enrolled, you need to disenroll it before changing the log collector address. After you've changed the address, you can then re-enroll the device.

    Log collector FQDN

    FQDN that resolves to log collector virtual IP address.

    Modifying FQDNs for log collectors might affect associated services such as EMS.

    You can also use CLI command set address change <ip-address/FQDN> to update virtual IP addresses and FQDNs for UI, device connection, and log collector. See set address change.

  5. Click Ok.

    A confirmation message appears indicating that the system details have been updated. You need to wait a few minutes for the changes to take effect.

    You can use CLI command show configuration to view the system configuration. See show configuration.
