Update Security Package

Use the Update Latest Packages to upload or download a security package from your system. You can also set an auto-download of security package for Juniper Security Director.

Upload a Security Package

To upload a security package for the devices:

  1. Select SRX > Device Management > Security Packages.

    The Security Packages page appears.

  2. Click the Update Latest Packages drop-down menu.

  3. Select Upload Package from the drop-down menu.

    The Upload Package window appears.

  4. Click Browse to upload the relevant security package from your system and click OK.

Download a Security Package

To download a security package for Juniper Security Director:

  1. Select SRX > Device Management > Security Packages.

    The Security Packages page appears.

  2. Click the Update Latest Packages drop-down menu.

  3. Select Download Package from the drop-down menu.

    The Download Package window appears.

  4. Select Run Now to start downloading a security package now from the download URL provided. Or, select Schedule at a later time to schedule the download at a specific date and time.

  5. Click OK.

Auto-Download a Security Package

To set an auto-download for a security package:

  1. Select SRX > Device Management > Security Packages.

    The Security Packages page appears.

  2. Click the Update Latest Packages drop-down menu.

  3. Select Auto-download Package from the drop-down menu.

    The Auto-download Package window appears.

  4. Enable the Auto-download Package option, if you want to set an auto-download and click OK.

    The auto-download time is set to 2:00 AM everyday by default.
