System Overview

The System page allows you to monitor the VM resource usage and the installed services. You can view the current software bundle version information and upgrade to the latest version using the Upgrade System option.

To access the System page, select Administration > System Management > System

You can monitor the status of the CPU, disk space, storage database, and services running on the VM. You can identify the services that are running or down. Click the search icon and enter the text to search for the services in the VM.

Table describes the fields on the System page.

Field Description

Management IP address

Backend IP address for the VM that provides access to the Juniper Security Director CLI.

UI virtual IP address

IP address to access the Juniper Security Director GUI.

Device connection virtual IP address

IP address used to establish connection between the managed devices (SRX Series Firewalls) and Juniper Security Director.

Log collector virtual IP address

IP address used to store the device log collectors.

Status

Displays the status of the VM:

  • Up—VM is running.

  • Down—VM is not accessible.

Version

Specifies the current software bundle version.

CPU Usage

Displays the percentage of CPU used by the VM in the last 5 minutes.

Memory Usage

Displays the percentage of memory resources the VM is using.

Service Status

Service Name

Specifies the name of the service running on the VM.

Status

Displays the status of the individual service running on the VM.
  • Up—Service is running on the VM.

  • Down—Service is installed on the VM, but is not running.

App Version

Specifies the application version of the individual service.

App version is hidden by default. You can enable it from the Show/Hide Coulmns tab to view the details.

Disk Utilization

OS Disk

Shows the percentage of space utilized by the applications running on the VM and service logs.

Storage Disk

Specifies the storage space uitilized to store application data, device configurations, images and so on. It is further categorized into:

  • Application—Stores application signatures, device schemas, images, and device configurations.

  • Configuration Bus—Stores internal application data, transferred between services.

  • Configuration DB—Stores configuration objects and features for devices and applications running on the VM.

Log Disk

Specifies the disk space utilized for SRX Series Firewall logs.
