Subscriptions

Overview

To access the Juniper Security Director Cloud subscriptions page, click Administration > Subscriptions.

Use the Subscriptions page to add and manage your Juniper Security Director Cloud and Juniper Secure Edge subscriptions.

Juniper Security Director Cloud Subscriptions

Juniper Security Director Cloud has the following two types of subscriptions:

  • Device subscription to manage the devices within Juniper Security Director Cloud portal. After you purchase a device subscription and add it in Juniper Security Director Cloud, you must associate the device with the device subscription. See Device Subscription Overview for details
  • Log subscription provides additional Juniper Security Director Cloud storage space for longer retention of data gathered from devices. After you purchase the log subscription and add it in Juniper Security Director Cloud, the log subscriptions are associated with the organization.
    Note:

    Log subscriptions are non-transferable.

Juniper Secure Edge Subscriptions

Juniper Secure Edge has the following types of subscriptions:

  • Juniper Secure Edge subscription that enables the service for all licensed users. The subscription also entitles you to deploy the service in two cloud service locations.

  • Extra Service Location subscription that provides additional service locations for the licensed users of the base license.
  • Storage subscription provides additional Juniper Secure Edge storage space for longer retention of data gathered from devices. After you purchase the storage subscription and add it in Juniper Secure Edge, the storage subscriptions are associated with the organization.
    Note:

    Storage subscriptions are non-transferable.

You can perform the following tasks from this page:

Field Descriptions

Table 1 describes the fields on the License Management page.

Field

Description

Name

Displays the name of the subscription.

Entitlement

Displays the device and the log subscription information. Device subscriptions are displayed as number of devices that you can subscribe to, along with the number of years this subscription is valid. Log subscriptions are displayed as the amount of storage space entitled, along with the number of years this subscription is valid.

Actual Usage

Displays the number of devices associated with the device subscription. Hover over the number to view the names of the devices that are subscribed to this subscription.

Status

Displays whether the subscription is active or expired.

Expiry Date

Displays the expiry date on the subscription.

Plan

Displays the name of the plan associated with the device subscription and the log subscription.

SSRN

Displays the software support reference number (SSRN) which is the serial number of the subscription.

Add Subscriptions

After you purchase your Juniper Security Director Cloud subscription, you must add it to your account.

To add your purchased subscriptions to your account:

  1. Log in to the Juniper Security Director Cloud portal with your user credentials.
  2. Go to the Administration > Subscriptions page.

    The Subscriptions page appears. If you have not added any subscriptions to your account, you will see a message to this effect along with an option to add your subscriptions.

  3. Click Add Subscriptions to open the Add New Subscriptions page.
  4. Enter the following information and click OK.
    • Name—A descriptive name for the subscription.

    • SSRN—The software support reference number of the subscription that you received in your email.

    If you have purchased multiple subscriptions, click + and enter the details of the subscription(s).

  5. Click OK.

    Juniper Security Director Cloud verifies the SSRN and activates the subscription(s). The Subscription page opens displaying the newly added subscriptions.

  6. Review your subscription details to be sure everything is correct (activation state, expiration date, number of devices that you can subscribe to this subscription, and so on).
Important Information About Subscriptions
  • You will receive a subscription renewal e-mail notification 90 days before a subscription expires. After that, you’ll receive a renewal e-mail notification once every week until 30 days before the expiry date.

  • You will receive a subscription renewal e-mail notification every day starting 30 days before the subscription expires.

  • You will receive a subscription renewal e-mail notification every day during grace period (30 days after the subscription expires).

  • For a trial account, if the device subscription is not renewed within the grace period (within 30 days after trial period is over), then all the data for that organization will be deleted.

  • When all the purchased subscriptions are expired and grace-period is also over, then storage logs will be deleted.

Delete a Subscription

To delete one or more subscriptions from your Juniper Security Director Cloud account:

  1. Log in to the Juniper Security Director Cloud portal with your user credentials.
  2. Go to the Administration > Subscriptions page.
  3. Select the subscription(s) you want to delete and click the delete icon on the top-right corner of the page.

The selected subscription(s) are deleted from your Juniper Security Director Cloud account.

Note:
  • Active subscriptions cannot be deleted.

  • You can delete the subscriptions with unsuccessful SSRN activation or paid subscriptions that are expired. If you delete the subscriptions, you will not receive email notifications about subscription renewal.

  • When a device subscription is deleted, the devices that were associated to that subscription will lose the entitlements provided by the subscription.
