About the Flow-Based Antivirus Profiles Page

To access this page, select SRX > Security Subscriptions > Flow-Based Antivirus.

Use the Flow-Based Antivirus Profiles page to create and to manage flow-based antivirus profiles. When packets pass through the SRX Series Firewall, a flow-based antivirus profile checks the packets instantly without storing the packets. The flow-based check makes the process quicker and less memory-intensive, but with fewer inspection features than a proxy-based antivirus profile.

Tasks You Can Perform

You can perform the following tasks from this page:

  • Create flow-based antivirus profiles. See Create a Flow-Based Antivirus Profile.

  • Edit, clone, and delete flow-based antivirus profiles. See Edit, Clone, and Delete a Flow-Based Antivirus Profile.

  • View the details of the flow-based antivirus profiles. Select the antivirus profile, then select More > Detail.

  • Clear the selected antivirus profiles. Select More > Clear all selections.

  • Show or hide columns on the page. Hover over > Show/Hide Columns, and select the columns to show or clear the selection to hide the columns on the page.

  • Reset Preference—Reset the displayed columns to the default set of columns for each tab in the table. Hover over , and click Reset Preference.

Field Descriptions

Table 1 provides guidelines on using the fields on the Flow-Based Antivirus Profiles page.

Field Description
Name Displays the flow-based antivirus profile name.
Verdict threshold Displays the threshold value to determine when a file is considered infected.
Action Displays the action to be taken when an infected file is detected, which can be Permit or Block.
Description Displays the description of the antivirus profile.
