Configure Default Security Policy Rule Options

Default rule options define a reusable set of advanced rule behaviors that can be automatically applied to multiple security policy rules. These options typically include configurations such as traffic handling parameters, redirect actions, authentication settings, and protocol-specific behaviors.

When you configure default rule options, they act as a baseline configuration that is applied to a rule when you enable Rule Options. You can still customize individual rules, and any rule-level configuration overrides the default settings.

To configure the default security policy rule option:

Select Security > Security Policies.

The Security Policy page is displayed.
Select the security policy rule and click Set Default Rule Option.

The Set Default Rule Options page is displayed.
Select the default policy rule options from the list of default settings.
You can also create a policy rule option by clicking Create New. See Create and Manage Rule Options.
Click OK.

The default security policy rule option to apply to a policy rule is added.
