Configure an HTTP proxy server to manage your devices, onboard your devices, and to
handle all outbound traffic of your devices.
If you use a proxy server in your network, you can configure a DHCP or a static server to
connect your devices with Juniper Security Director Cloud.
Note:
Devices running Junos OS Release 23.4R1 and later can use proxy servers. You can
configure proxy servers in Juniper Security Director Cloud to manage devices running these
supported versions of Junos OS.
To configure a DHCP or static proxy server for device management:

The Proxy Server page opens.

Configure the proxy server to connect your devices according to the guidelines.

Select this option to dynamically obtain the proxy server details through
DHCP for connectivity. With the DHCP discovery process the device gets the
proxy server’s IP address and the port for outbound SSH connections
Configure a DHCP server before you select this option.

Select this option to use a static server for connecting your device.

| Hostname |
Enter the hostname of the proxy server. This option is available only for
static proxy servers.

| Port |
Enter the port number of the proxy server. This option is available only for
static proxy servers.

| Proxy auth |
Enable this option to authenticate connections to the static proxy
server.
If you enable this option, you must have a proxy server configured with
authentication requirements.

| Username |
Enter the username for the proxy server.
|
| Password |
Enter the password for the proxy server.
