Configure an HTTP Proxy Server for Device Management

Configure an HTTP proxy server to manage your devices, onboard your devices, and to handle all outbound traffic of your devices.

If you use a proxy server in your network, you can configure a DHCP or a static server to connect your devices with Juniper Security Director Cloud.

Note:

Devices running Junos OS Release 23.4R1 and later can use proxy servers. You can configure proxy servers in Juniper Security Director Cloud to manage devices running these supported versions of Junos OS.

To configure a DHCP or static proxy server for device management:

  1. Select Inventory > Devices.
  2. Click Device Connectivity Settings > Proxy Server.

    The Proxy Server page opens.

  3. Configure the proxy server to connect your devices according to the guidelines.

    Hostname

Enter the hostname of the proxy server. This option is available only for static proxy servers.

    Proxy auth

Enable this option to authenticate connections to the static proxy server.

If you enable this option, you must have a proxy server configured with authentication requirements.

    Password

Enter the password for the proxy server.

  4. Click OK.
