Upgrade to RHEL 8.10

Read these instructions to upgrade to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.10.

You can install Paragon Automation (Pathfinder, Planner, Insights) Release 24.1 on a multinode cluster with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) host OS. For more information, see Install Paragon Automation on RHEL. After you have installed Paragon Automation, you can upgrade an earlier version of RHEL (RHEL 8.4) to RHEL 8.10. Follow these steps to upgrade RHEL:

  1. Back up your current Paragon Automation cluster data.
  2. Copy the backed up data to a secure secondary server outside the cluster. The data.sh includes information on the location of the backed up file. Run the scp -prv command to copy the backed file from the local host to the secondary server outside the cluster.
  3. Check for any errors in the pods using the health-check.sh script.
  4. Upgrade the OS on the primary node to RHEL 8.10 by running the yum -y update && yum -y upgrade command. Depending on the repositories that you might have, use –nobest while running the upgrade command.
  5. Reboot all node in Paragon Automation. For more information, see Reboot Nodes in Paragon Automation
  6. Check the geoHA configuration after the primary cluster is up and running.
