Sizing Tunnels and Demands

To perform tunnel sizing:

Although the steps below are for tunnel sizing, demand sizing works the same way.
  1. Click File > Open Network Browser from the main menu and select the network that you want to modify.
  2. Click the Tunnel widget on the menu bar to switch to the tunnel layer view.
  3. Navigate to Report > Report Manager and click Tunnel Layer Network Reports > Tunnel Reports > Demand Traffic on Tunnel to view a report on the current tunnel utilization.
  4. Navigate to Tools > Options > Demand/Tunnel Sizing and configure the tunnel sizing parameters and click OK.
  5. Navigate to Design > TE Tunnels > Tunnel Sizing to bring up the Find Tunnels window. Specify the search criteria for tunnels in the Filter Options tab of the Find Tunnels window and click OK.
  6. In the Tunnel Sizing window, adjust the new tunnel bandwidth value if necessary by entering a new value in the tunnel’s New BW field or clicking on the Recalculate Selected button.
  7. Save the new bandwidth values by clicking on Confirm Selected or Confirm All. This will save the new bandwidth values as the tunnel’s bandwidth.
