Update Certificates

You can associate your own custom SSL certificate with Security Director Insights.

By default, Security Director Insights uses a self-signed SSL certificate. However, starting in Security Director Insights Release 24.1R2, you can import CA signed certificate through CLI.

Import CA Signed Certificate for Insights

Before You Begin

Ensure that the Common Name (CN) of the certificate matches the hostname of the Security Director Insights VM.

To import a certificate:
  1. SSH to Security Director Insights with the user admin.
  2. Go to the server mode.
  3. Run set ca-cert insights command.
  4. Enter the details to SCP the certificate and key files.
    Certificate and key files loaded successfully message is displayed.

Import CA Signed Certificate for Log Collector

Before You Begin
  • Ensure that the Common Name (CN) of the certificate matches the hostname of the Security Director Insights VM.

  • Ensure log collector is enabled on Security Director Insights.

To import a certificate:
  1. SSH to Security Director Insights with the user admin.
  2. Go to the server mode.
  3. Run set ca-cert log-collector command.
  4. Enter the details to SCP the certificate and key files.
    Certificate and key files loaded successfully message is displayed.
