This Juniper Validated Design (JVD) details an SRv6 Core and Edge that are used for the transport of L3 and L2 business services in a Service Provider (SP) network.

This JVD provides a high-level description and outlines requirements for a service provider network using SRv6 with Segment Identifier (SID) compression based on NEXT-CSID (also called micro–SID or simply mSID) as the underlying transport. The JVD solution validation uses a phased approach, with each phase adding additional functional scope and new platforms. The scope of this JVD is limited to the multi-domain network transport with multiple transport planes realized through SRv6 Flex-Algo (without traffic engineering) and services, with a focus on the Global Routing Table (GRT), L3VPN, and point-to-point L2 Services (EVPN E-Line-VPWS).

The reference network design is used to validate Juniper Networks MX Series Routers with Juniper Networks PTX Series Routers to support SRv6 network deployments. This approach provides scale and performance.
