Syntax

Hierarchy Level

Description

Configure the characteristics of the auxiliary port.

Default

The auxiliary port is disabled. disable is the default option.

Options

disable

Disable the port.

insecure

Disable super user access or root logins to establish terminal connection.

type terminal-type

Type of terminal that is connected to the port.

  • Range: ansi, vt100, small-xterm, xterm

  • Default: The terminal type is unknown, and the user is prompted for the terminal type.

port-type

Set the RJ-45 console port or the Mini-USB console port as the active console port.

  • mini-usb—Set the Mini USB type-B console port as the active console port.

  • rj45—Set the RJ-45 console port as the active console port.

  • Default: The RJ-45 console port is the active port.
