subscription-id-type (PCRF Partition)
Syntax
subscription-id-type number;
Description
Identify the subscriber. You can identify the subscriber using several IANA predefined values, or define your own. The Policy and Charging Rule Function (PCRF) uses the subscription-id-type during a subscriber login session using for CCR-GX-I and CCA-GX-I messages.
For wireline service, we recommend that you define your own customer-specific value.
If you do not define or include any data in the subscription-id-data-include
statement, then the value defaults to reserved. For some applications,
the PCRF may be configured to identify subscribers using another method,
and instead use the subscription-id-type for protocol compliance.
If the dynamic-subscription-id is provided by the AAA server, then
the PCRF uses the dynamic-subscription-id as the identifier regardless
of what you defined for the local configuration.
