show interfaces routing summary

Syntax

Description

Display a summary of the state of the router interfaces. Use this command for performing router diagnostics only, when you are determining whether the routing protocols and the Junos OS differ about the state of an interface.

Options

none

Display summary information about the state of all router interfaces on all logical systems.

interface-name

(Optional) Name of a specific interface.

logical-system (all | logical-system-name)

(Optional) Perform this operation on all logical systems or on a particular logical system.

Output Fields

Table 1 lists the output fields for the show interfaces routing summary command. Output fields are listed in the approximate order in which they appear.

Field Name

Field Description

n physical interfaces

Number of routing interfaces and number of interfaces in the up state.

n protocol protocol interfaces

Type and number of routing protocols and number of related interfaces in the up  state.

Interface

Logical interface name.

Index

Logical interface index number, which reflects its initialization sequence.

Metric

Metric value for the interface.

Trans

Number of times the interface has transitioned from Down to Up.

Status

Interface status (Up or Down) and type.
