next-hop-group (Forwarding Options)

Syntax

Syntax EX3400, EX4100, EX4100-F, EX4300-MP, and EX4400 Switches

Hierarchy Level

Description

Specify the next-hop address for sending copies of packets to an analyzer.

(This paragraph applies only to routers.) The commit operation fails when a next-hop group has only one interface configured. It is implicitly assumed that a subgroup is up only if more than one interface in the subgroup is up.

Note:

(This Note applies only to routers.) In Junos OS releases through Release 14.2, the next-hop-group statement is present in the forwarding-options stanza for a routing instance, but the next-hop-group statement is not allowed in a routing instance. In other words, in a routing instance, [edit routing-instances routing-instance-name forwarding-options next-hop-group] is not supported. You will get an error message if you try to commit this type of configuration. Starting in Junos OS Release 14.2, the next-hop-group statement is not present in [edit routing-instances routing-instance-name forwarding-options].
