  • Commit check for Routing Engine switchover (PTX10008 and PTX10016)—If a commit is in progress, Routing Engine switchover is prohibited until the commit completes. You can ensure that active commit operations do not interfere with a Routing Engine switchover by using the request chassis routing-engine master switch check command. This feature prevents system crashes and undefined states by blocking the switchover until the commit process is complete.
