Class of Service

  • Support for multidestination classifier (QFX5130, QFX5220, and QFX5700)—Starting in Junos OS Evolved Release 23.4R1, QFX Series switches that run Junos OS Evolved support classification of multidestination, or BUM (broadcast, unknown unicast, and multicast), traffic using either IEEE802.1P or DSCP code points. There is no default multidestination classifier. If you don't explicitly configure a multidestination classifier, the switch sends all BUM traffic to the default multicast queue (queue 8), which receives 20 percent of the bandwidth by default. If you apply a multidestination classifier to send BUM traffic to other multicast queues (queue 9 or queue 10), you must ensure that the egress scheduler allocates bandwidth for those queues.
