Additional Features

We have extended support for the following features to the platforms shown in parentheses:

  • Layer 3 routing and protocols statistics (ACX7900)—Starting in Junos OS Evolved Release 23.2R1, JTI provides Layer 3 and routing protocols IPv4, IPv6, BGP, IS-IS and ARP streaming sensor support using gRPC services.

  • Support of LACP link protection (ACX7100-32C, ACX7100-48L, ACX7509, ACX7204)—Support for 1:1 and N: N link-protection. To enable this feature, use the existing link-protection statement in the [edit interfaces aex aggregated-ether-options lacp] hierarchy level.[See link-protection.]

  • Supported transceivers, optical interfaces, and DAC cables—Select your product in the Hardware Compatibility Tool to view supported transceivers, optical interfaces, and direct attach copper (DAC) cables for your platform or interface module. We update HCT and provide the first supported release information when the optic becomes available.

  • Platform resiliency support for PTX-Series devices (PTX10001-36MR, PTX10004, PTX10008, and PTX10016)

    Support for static link protection on aggregated interfaces (PTX10001-36MR, PTX10004, PTX10008, and PTX10016).You can enable link protection on aggregated interfaces for a specified static label-switched path (LSP).

  • Support for enhanced connectivity fault management (PTX10001-36MR, PTX10004, PTX10008, and PTX10016). We've extended the CFM support to inline mode. Support includes:

    • Up and down maintenance association end points (MEPs) on bridges, circuit cross-connect (CCC), and Ethernet VPN (EVPN) in inline mode

    • ITU-T Y.1731 on synthetic loss measurement (SLM) and delay measurement (DM)

    • Inline session support for connectivity fault management (CFM) on aggregated Ethernet

    • Enhanced CFM mode by default

    • Supported inline performance monitoring (PM) sessions, as follows:

      • PM Tx

      • PM Rx

      • PM responder

    • IPv4 (inet) and IPv6 (inet6) support for continuity check messages (CCM), delay measurement (DM), and synthetic loss message (SLM)

    • DM on aggregated Ethernet with at least one child link on the anchor Packet Forwarding Engine

    • Action profile for marking a link down, except for EVPN and bridge up MEP

    • Supported CFM protocol data units (PDUs) for inline handling, as follows:

      • CCM

      • Delay measurement message (DMM)

      • Delay measurement reply (DMR)

      • Synthetic loss message (SLM)

      • Synthetic loss reply (SLR)

    • Enterprise and service provider configurations

    • VLAN normalization

    • VLAN transparency for CFM PDUs

    • CoS forwarding class and CoS packet loss priority (PLP) for CFM

    • Combination of up MEP, down MEP, or maintenance association intermediate point (MIP) configuration over the same interface
