  • If vMX product is configured to run in performance mode via configuring "chassis fpc 0 performance-mode" (Note: performance mode is enabled by default starting from Junos OS Release 15.1F6), flow cache will be used to improve the traffic forwarding performance. With performance mode enabled, if traffic cause a single flow in the flow cache to have a large number of flow actions which hit the max supported number (i.e. 18) of flow actions (Typically, the addition of lots of firewall counters and policers in a single flow can make it add up), the riot might crash.
