Description
Configure the number of retry attempts
for checking the keepalive status of a Point-to-Point (PPP) protocol
session. Configure this setting to reduce the detection time for PPP
client session timeouts or failures if you have configured the keepalive
timeout interval (using the keepalive statement).
Options
number-of-retries—The maximum number of retries the L2TP network server (LNS)
attempts by sending LCP echo requests to the peer to check the keepalive
status of the PPP session. If there is no response from the PPP client
within the specified number of retries, the PPP session is considered
to have timed out.
Range: 3 through 32,767 times
Default: 10 times
