Description

Configure the timeout interval for entries in the MAC table.

Note:

The global-mac-table-aging-time statement appears in the Junos OS CLI for devices that support the Enhanced Layer 2 Software (ELS) configuration style. If your device runs software that does not support ELS, use the mac-table-aging-time statement, which appears in the [edit ethernet-switching-options] and the [edit vlans] hierarchies. For ELS details, see Using the Enhanced Layer 2 Software CLI.

Options

seconds—Time elapsed before MAC table entries are timed out and entries are deleted from the table.

  • Range: For MX Series routers: 10 through 1 million; for EX Series and QFX Series switches: 60 through 1 million; for SRX Series Firewalls: 10 through 64,000 seconds
