Syntax

Hierarchy Level

Release Information

Statement introduced in Junos OS 21.3R1.

Description

Configure IS-IS to ignore links that do not have TE Attributes advertised in Flex-Algo specific Application-Specific Link Attribute (ASLA) sub-TLVs. This is applicable only to the following TE attribute sub-TLVs:

  • Min unidirectional link delay

  • TE default metric

  • Administrative group

    Note:

If you do not enable strict ASLA-based flexible algorithm, but have routers in your network that do not advertise ASLA sub-TLVs, the route computation of the flexible algorithm could be incorrect and might cause network issues such as routing loops.

Advertising Delay-Metric in Flex Algo ASLA

You can advertise delay-metric inside flex algo Application Specific Link Attributes (ASLA). This functionality is essential in a multi-vendor deployment running latency-based flex algo.
