Hierarchy Level

Description

Interface address prefix of the destination where the tunnel terminates. Configuring this interface is mandatory.

Note:

Starting in Junos OS Evolved Release 20.3R1, for GRE tunnels, configure the address for the tunnel encapsulation destination address.

When you do not configure tunnel-termination, you can use destination address address to configure the destination IP address in the outer IP header while encapsulating the packet.

Options

You can configure the destination address with an optional destination mask. The mask range is from 0 to 32 for IPv4, and 0 to 128 for IPv6 addresses. /32 is the default mask for IPv4, and /128 is the default mask for IPv6.

Note:

Starting in Junos OS Evolved Release 20.3R1, for GRE tunnels, if you do not configure tunnel-termination for tunnel decapsulation, you cannot configure the mask for the destination address.
