Description
Allows you to configure bidirectional forwarding
detection (BFD) and a control channel for a pseudowire, in addition
to the corresponding operations and management functions to be used
over that control channel. BFD provides a low resource fault detection
mechanism for the continuous monitoring of the pseudowire data path
and for detecting data plane failures. The control-channel statement is not applicable to Layer 2 circuit pseudowires.

The VCCV BFD session is signaled down only after the specified number of LSP ping packets are lost. This feature is supported for Layer 2 Circuit, Layer 2 VPN, and VPLS technologies. |
