network-isolation-profile

Syntax

Hierarchy Level

Description

On a provider edge (PE) device in an EVPN network, assign a network isolation group profile to an EVPN instance (EVI), to a particular bridge domain or VLAN, or to an interface.

A network isolation group encompasses the parameters that the device uses to:

  • Detect when an EVPN instance. a bridge domain, or a VLAN is in a network isolation state.

  • Take actions on the associated interfaces after the device detects a network isolation status change.

You use the network-isolation group name statement at the [edit protocols] hierarchy level to configure the parameters that define a network isolation group. You can define link tracking or service tracking parameters with that statement.

Then configure the network-isolation-profile statement to assign the network isolation group as follows:

  • If the network isolation group uses the link-tracking option, you can assign the network isolation profile to:

    • An EVPN instance (EVI).

    • A particular bridge domain or VLAN in an EVI.

  • If the network isolation group uses the service-tracking option, you can assign the network isolation profile to an interface. The interface can be:

    • A logical single link or aggregated Ethernet (AE) link bundle (LAG) to a single-homed customer edge device in the network.

    • An Ethernet segment identifier (ESI) LAG interface to a multihomed customer edge device in the network.

    • A physical interface.
