bypass-queuing-chip

Syntax

Hierarchy Level

Description

On MPCs that contain a queuing chip and on vMX routers, bypass the queuing chip to increase the available bandwidth when rich queuing features are not required. When applied on a vMX router, this option saves a vCPU.

CAUTION:

When enabling this option, do not oversubscribe the port bandwidth. Also, after committing this change on a vMX router, you must reboot the MPC that contains the interface.

Note:

This option requires flexi-queuing-mode to be enabled.

Note:

Once you apply this option:

  • You cannot configure either per-unit-scheduler or hierarchical-scheduler on the interface.

  • You can no longer apply schedulers or shapers to the interface.

  • Ingress queuing does not work on the interface.
