Hierarchy Level

Specify the Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) process.

  • command binary-file-path—Path to the binary process.

  • disable—Disable the VRRP process.

  • failover—Configure the device to reboot if the software process fails four times within 30 seconds, and specify the software to use during the reboot.

    • alternate-media—Configure the device to switch to backup media that contains a version of the system if a software process fails repeatedly.

    • other-routing-engine—Instruct the secondary Routing Engine to take the primary role if a software process fails. If this statement is configured for a process, and that process fails four times within 30 seconds, then the device reboots from the secondary Routing Engine.

On SRX300 and SRX320 devices, you cannot configure the same VRRP group ID on different interfaces of a single device
