scale-mode

Syntax

Hierarchy Level

Description

Configure scale-mode to manage adaptive sampling behavior in the sFlow technology configuration.

Options

adaptive-interval

Interval for adaptive sampling.

  • interval— Adaptive sampling interval in seconds. You can set a fixed polling interval for sFlow data collection to disable the dynamic adjustments and override the default value. Increasing the interval reduces the sampling load on sFlowd, the kernel, and Packet Forwarding Engine, but slows down how often adaptive sampling and polling occurs, which might lower the adaptive sampling efficiency.

    • Range: 24 through 60

  • no-adaptive-sampling— Disables adaptive sampling completely. It also terminates fallback, sample-limit-threshold functions, and all associated timers immediately.

disable

Disables dynamic adjustment of the polling interval when the number of sFlow enabled interfaces changes. When this option is enabled, the polling interval remains fixed at the default 12 seconds or the manually configured value, regardless of changes in the number of sFlow enabled interfaces.

Required Privilege Level
