Description
Enable this option for up/down bit and prefix attribute sub-tlv. When you enable this option, IS-IS advertises Extended Reachability Prefix Attribute Flag Sub-TLV without policy configuration per RFC 7775. Enable this feature to use route preference rules defined in RFC 7775 for TLVs 135,235,236, and 237.
ISIS Route Preference is decided by the down bit, level and
extended metric. Route advertisement which has down bit set
is less preferred than route advertisement which does not have the
down bit set irrespective of metric. As per RFC 7775,
L2 route with down bit set will be ignored and treated as
if it was set to 0 while deriving ISIS route preference.
We recommend that you use this feature when all the nodes in the network support the same route preference rules per RFC 7775, otherwise there is a poosibility of a routing loop.
