queue-mode-4q (Traffic Control Profiles)
Syntax
queue-mode-4q;
Hierarchy Level
[edit class-of-service traffic-control-profiles], [edit dynamic-profiles name class-of-service traffic-control-profiles]
Description
Logical interfaces support 8 virtual output queues (VOQs) by default. If you want to
configure only 4 VOQs for a logical interface, on supported platforms enable
queue-mode-4q in the traffic control profile (TCP) attached to the
logical interface. 4 queue mode conserves resources to support a larger number of
logical interfaces and subscribers.
Note: To enable 4 queue mode on an existing TCP attached to existing
logical interfaces, you must first detach the TCP from all interfaces, then enable 4
queue mode and reattach the TCP to the logical interfaces. Otherwise 4 queue mode will
not take effect.
