no-mac-flush-on-aa-ae-down

Syntax

Hierarchy Level

Description

Don't flush MAC and MAC-IP routing table entries when an aggregated Ethernet (AE) interface in all-active mode goes down.

This statement helps to minimize network disruption during rapid active link switchovers when an AE interface connection is unstable and the connection status flaps (goes up and down quickly and repeatedly).

Default

If you don't configure this statement, by default, the device flushes MAC and MAC-IP routing table entries when the interface goes down.

If you set this statement but don't specify either the enable option or the disable option, the behavior is the same as setting this statement with the enable option—the device doesn't flush the MAC and MAC-IP entries when the interface goes down.

Options

enable

(Optional) Don't flush the MAC and MAC-IP entries when the interface goes down.

disable

Return to the default interface behavior to flush MAC and MAC-IP entries when the interface goes down.

Note:

This option has the same effect as deleting the no-mac-flush-on-aa-ae-down statement from the configuration.

Required Privilege Level

routing—To view this statement in the configuration.

routing-control—To add this statement to the configuration
