Description
A custom hardware profile is a grouping of multiple custom profiles. You can create tailored custom hardware profiles based on application needs. This approach allows dynamic allocation of resources rather than allocating resources statically. For example, you can create a custom counter profile and then group them under a custom hardware profile. If required, you can create multiple custom hardware profiles. Then you select one of the custom hardware profiles as the active custom hardware profile by using the below configuration statement:
set system packet-forwarding-options
hw-profile <hw-profile-name>Activation triggers commit validation and PFE restart
Options
-
counter-profile <counter-profile> — Specify the name of the custom counter profile if you want to include it in this custom hardware profile.
