Description
Configure PIM hash-based RPF selection to ensure that multicast traffic for a specific source and group (S,G) is routed consistently through the same upstream node.
On enabling this feature, the (S,G) pair’s RPF is updated with the output of the hashing algorithm. This update of the RPF happens in Make-before-break (MBB) fashion and therefore, enabling or disabling this configuration does not result in a loss of traffic.
Use the show pim join command to view the winner RPF upstream neighbor
for the given (S, G).
