Syntax

Description

Set parameters for media access control (MAC) address move reporting.

Default

By default, MAC moves notify every second, with a threshold time of 1 second and a threshold count of 50.

Options

cooloff-time—Cooloff-time is the time interval during which no additional interface is disabled by the PE (Provider Edge) router after a MAC move is detected.

disable-action—(MX Series routers only) Disable the MAC move action feature globally. MAC move detection configuration does exist, but the action is disabled.

exclusive-mac—List of MACs configured as exclusive MACs are not tracked and counted for mac move related features. Also, these MACs do not get pinned when mac-pinning feature is configured. It excludes MAC addresses from the MAC move limit algorithm.

interface-recovery-time—Interface-recovery-time is the time interval, in seconds, after which a disabled interface is automatically re-enabled following a VPLS MAC move detection.

log—When a MAC has moved rapid enough to cross the threshold count number within the threshold duration configured, a SYSLOG/ERRMSG is generated if log is configured.

notification-time—(MX Series routers only) Configure the notification time value for MAC move reports that a MAC address moves before counting against the threshold values.

reopen-time—(MX Series routers only) Configure the value for the reopen timer.

statistical-approach-wait-time—It is the time interval, in seconds, during which MAC moves are monitored to collect statistics.

threshold-count—(MX Series routers only) Configure the threshold count value for MAC move reports.

threshold-time—(MX Series routers only) Configure the threshold time value for MAC move reports when the MAC address moves at least a specified number of times (threshold count) in the configured interval.
