Description
Configure EVPN-VXLAN anycast multihoming for an ESI-LAG pair. This statement configures a shared anycast VTEP address on both multihoming peers, causing them to advertise EVPN routes with one logical next-hop. Remote devices use underlay ECMP to distribute traffic across paths to the shared anycast VTEP address.
Configure an IPv4 address under inet or an IPv6 address under
inet6. Configure the same address on both peers. If the anycast
address is configured on a nondefault loopback interface unit, configure that unit with
the loopback-interface statement and as the VTEP source interface in each applicable
EVPN routing instance.
For symmetric IRB deployments, configure router-mac with the shared
anycast router MAC address.
To interoperate with remote devices that use MLAG, configure
mlag-interop-mode.
anycast-multihoming configuration causes a catastrophic event for
the routing instance. Please perform these configuration changes during a maintenance
window to avoid network disruptions.Options
| inet |
Configure the IPv4 anycast VTEP address. |
| inet6 |
Configure the IPv6 anycast VTEP address. |
| address address |
Specify the shared anycast IPv4 or IPv6 VTEP address. Configure the same address on each peer in the multihoming pair. |
| loopback-interface loopback-interface |
Specify the loopback interface unit that contains the anycast address when the address is not configured on the default loopback interface unit.
|
| mlag-interop-mode |
Enable interoperability between local EVPN anycast multihoming peers and remote devices that operate in MLAG mode. |
| router-mac router-mac |
Specify the shared anycast router MAC address for symmetric IRB deployments. |
