Output Fields

Table 1 lists the output fields for the show ptp phase-error-monitoring status command. Output fields are listed in the approximate order in which they appear.

Table 1: show ptp phase-error-monitoring status Output Fields
Field Name Field Description
Status Displays if the phase-error monitoring is enabled or disabled.
Last state change time Indicates the time since when the State changed.
State
  • Not monitoring indicates the PTP servo isn’t phase-aligned or is in holdover state because of the feature configuration.

  • Monitoring and will not ignore phase correctionsindicates the PTP servo is phase-aligned but the other conditions for the feature to be activate are not met. For example, an asymmetry configuration has occurred, or the PTP master just switched on, etc.

  • Monitoring and ready to ignore phase corrections if threshold exceededindicates all conditions are met and the feature is active, however phase threshold hasn’t been exceeded yet.

  • Not in holdover and ignoring phase corrections indicates the servo is within a 10 measurement windows (MW) grace period where the threshold has exceeded but the PTP servo hasn’t been put into holdover yet.

  • In holdover and ignoring phase corrections indicates the PTP servo is in holdover state, ignoring phase corrections while the phase is still past the threshold.

  • In holdover and monitoring if phase stays within threshold indicates the PTP servo is in holdover for a 10 MW grace period, ignoring phase corrections when the phase is no longer past the threshold.

Last threshold exceeded time Indicates the last time since when the threshold exceeded.
Phase corrections not ignored when threshold last
    exceeded
Indicates if the phase corrections were ignored or not when the threshold exceeded the last time.
Reason Indicates the reason why the phase corrections were not ignored when the phase-correction threshold was exceeded the last time:
  • PTP master switched

  • SyncE source switched

  • Asymmetry configuration changed

  • System not up for at least 30 minutes

  • Feature not configured for at least five minutes

Threshold exceeded counter (Phase corrections
    ignored)
Indicates the number of times the phase corrections were ignored when the threshold exceeded.
Threshold exceeded counter (Phase corrections not
    ignored)
Indicates the number of times the phase corrections were not ignored when the threshold exceeded.
