show multicast mrinfo

Syntax

Description

Display configuration information about IP multicast networks, including neighboring multicast router addresses.

Options

none

Display configuration information about all multicast networks.
host

(Optional) Display configuration information about a particular host. Replace host with a hostname or IP address.

Output Fields

Table 1 describes the output fields for the show multicast mrinfo command. Output fields are listed in the approximate order in which they appear.

Field Name

Field Description

source-address

Query address, hostname (DNS name or IP address of the source address), and multicast protocol version or the software version of another vendor.

ip-address-1--->ip-address-2

Queried router interface address and directly attached neighbor interface address, respectively.

(name or ip-address)

Name or IP address of neighbor.

[metric/threshold/type/ flags]

Neighbor's multicast profile:

  • metric—Always has a value of 1, because mrinfo queries the directly connected interfaces of a device.

  • threshold—Multicast threshold time-to-live (TTL). The range of values is 0 through 255.

  • type—Multicast connection type: pim or tunnel.

  • flags—Flags for this route:

    • querier

      Queried router is the designated router for the neighboring session.
    • leaf

      Link is a leaf in the multicast network.
    • down

      Link status indicator.
