show chassis device-mode

Syntax

Description

Display information about the operating mode of the device. For example, QFX3500 devices operate either as a single switch in standalone mode or as a QFabric system Node device in node-device mode.

Note:

Issue the show chassis device-mode command only when your management station is connected directly to the device over a console port connection.

Options

There are no options for this command.

Output Fields

Table 1 lists the output fields for the show chassis device-mode command. Output fields are listed in the approximate order in which they appear.

Field Name

Field Description

Current device-mode

Existing operational mode for the device. The device can be in Interconnect device mode, Node device mode, or standalone mode.

Future device-mode after reboot

Future operational mode for the device after you reboot it. The device can be set to enter Interconnect device mode, Node device mode, or standalone mode.

Note:

To set the future mode of the device, issue the request chassis device-mode command.
