request vmhost snapshot <config> <no-confirm> <partition> <recovery>
Description
Create a recovery snapshot of the currently running and active file system partitions on the backup disk to recover the primary disk in case of failure.
On the device, back up the snapshot of the host OS image along with the Junos OS image. In
case of failure of the primary disk, you can boot from the image available in the backup disk
and then recover the primary disk with the snapshot created using the recovery
option.
request vmhost snapshot command during a
scheduled maintenance window to avoid potential service disruption. Options
none—Create a snapshot from the current disk to the target disk without partitioning the target disk. Contents on target disk is lost.

(Optional) Select the Routing Engine (re0/re1) where you want to create the snapshot. Default is the current executing Routing Engine. For PTX1000 routers, since there is only one RE, re0|re1 is not supported. Note:
The QFX10002-60C and PTX10002-60C devices do not have primary and backup routing engines. |
