Syntax

Description

If the optics transceiver is advertising two CDB instances, use the request system firmware optics switch command to choose between the two instances. Use the show system firmware optics cdb-advertisement fpc-slot slot-number pic-slot slot-number port port-number command to see if the optics transceiver is advertising two CDB instances and which firmware image is active.

Options

The fields that are valid may vary depending on the platform and software release.

fpc-slot slot-number

Slot number of FPC.
pic-slot slot-number

Slot number of the PIC.
port port-number

Slot number of the port. Use the show chassis pic fpc slot-number pic slot-number command to look up the port number.
password password Password to unlock the firmware download. Range is 0 to 2147483647. For third-party optics modules, you need to get this password from your supplier.
