request stop system-counter-script

Syntax

Description

Stop the shell script that collects and archives system-state counters for debugging uses.

Here are some examples of times when you might use this command (this list is just a starting place; it is not all-inclusive):

  • Using the request stop system-counter-script command to manage CPU usage—You might use this command when you don't want the counters-collection process to consume even a small amount of CPU. You might also use it if you added new CLI that might cause higher CPU usage—you can stop the counters-collection script runs, monitor CPU usage, and compare the CPU usages with and without the counters-collection script running.

  • Using the request stop system-counter-script command to collect counters and logs during a certain scenario—When you want to see results of a certain scenario's trigger effect on CPU usage, you can stop the script and then restart the script just before you execute that trigger.
