Configuring Access to Juniper Networks DMI Schema Repository by Using the Configure Juniper Repository Action

Starting from Junos Space Network Management Platform release 24.1R5, you can configure the Juniper Networks DMI schema repository (https://apigw-stage.juniper.net/gateway/xml-wrapper-api/1.0/api/svn/list?path=trunk/) by using the Configure Juniper Repository action. Selecting the Auto Install Schema checkbox in the Juniper Access Configuration dialog enables Junos Space Platform to automatically download and update DMI schemas from the specified repository.

To configure access to the Juniper Networks DMI schema repository by using the Configure Juniper Repository action:

  1. On the Junos Space Platform user interface, select Administration > DMI Schemas.

    The DMI Schemas page appears.

  2. From the Actions or the shortcut menu, select Configure Juniper Repository.

The Juniper Access Configuration dialog box is displayed.

  3. In the URL field, (https://apigw-stage.juniper.net/gateway/xml-wrapper-api/1.0/api/svn/list?path=trunk/) appears by default.
  4. (Optional) The Proxy Server field indicates if a proxy server is set up. If your organization needs a proxy server for internet access, configure and enable it under Administration > Proxy Server before accessing the Juniper Networks DMI schema repository. See Configuring Proxy Server Settings.
  5. (Optional) Check the Auto Install Schema box to automatically update or install missing device schema from the Juniper Networks DMI repository during synchronization.
    Note:

When the Auto Install Schema box is checked, Junos Space Platform identifies and updates missing or outdated DMI schemas during device sync. It installs missing schemas and updates outdated ones every hour by fetching from the DMI repository.

If a schema is absent and the automatic installation of the schema does not succeed, no further efforts are made to install the schema during the subsequent execution of the job.

  6. Click Save to save the settings that you configured.
