Manage KPI Recommendations
Read these topics to understand how to manage the KPI recommendations.
You can view the details of a KPI recommendation, filter a KPI recommendation, and approve a KPI recommendation from the KPI Recommendations tab (Observability > Health > Smart KPI Assistant > KPI Recommendations).
View Details of a KPI Recommendation
To edit an existing recommendation:
Navigate to the KPI Recommendations By Device table (Observability > Health > Smart KPI Assistant > KPI Recommendations).
Click the Detection field of a device (hyperlink) to view details of the respective KPI recommendation.
The Recommendation Details page appears.
Alternatively, click the check box next to the hostname to select the device you want to view the KPI recommendations details for.
Click More > Detail.
The Recommendation Details page appears.
Filter a KPI Recommendation
You can filter a KPI recommendation from the KPI Recommendations tab. To filter a KPI recommendation:
Navigate to the KPI Recommendations By Device table (Observability > Health > Smart KPI Assistant > KPI Recommendations).
Select the field according to which you want to filter the recommendation. You can filter the list of recommendations by Hostname, User Action Needed, or Last Modified fields.
Click the respective field header to filter the list of recommendation as per your requirement.
The KPI Recommendations By Device table now displays the filtered list of recommendations.
Note: You can apply one or more filters to the data in the KPI Recommendations By Device table.
Approve a KPI Recommendation
For the rules with auto mode disabled, you must manually approve the generated KPI recommendations listed in the KPI Recommendations tab.
To manually approve a KPI recommendation:
Navigate to the KPI Recommendations By Device table (Observability > Health > Smart KPI Assistant > KPI Recommendations).
To approve a recommendation, do one of the following:
If you want to approve all KPI recommendations for a specific device, select the device and click Approve.
A message is displayed confirming that the recommendations are updated successfully.
All KPI recommendations for the respective device are now approved.
If you want to approve one or more KPI recommendations for a specific device:
Click the KPI added link in the Detection column.
The Recommendation Details page appears.
Select one or more rules to be approved from the Rules List under the Rule(s) Details accordion and click Approve. A message is displayed confirming that the recommendations are updated successfully.
Note: To reject an approved rule, select the approved rule and click Reject. The rejected rules are still displayed in the Rules List. But, no KPI data is collected for the respective devices. If needed, the rejected rules can also be approved at a later stage. Once approved, the KPI data will be collected for these rules.
Once the recommendations are approved, the KPIs for the device are collected and populated in the respective accordions on the Troubleshoot Devices page (Observability > Health > Troubleshoot Dashboard). For more information, see About the Troubleshoot Devices Page.
