Edit and Delete Access Control Policy

Use this topic to edit or delete an access control policy.

Edit an Access Control Policy

You must be a superuser to edit an access control policy.

When you edit an access control policy used in profile that is assigned to one or more users, the changes take effect immediately on the users.

To edit an access control policy:

  1. Click Settings Menu > Control Profiles on the banner.

    The Access Control Profiles page appears.

  2. On the Policy Pool tab, click the policy that you want to edit.

    The Edit Policy page appears.

  3. Edit the policy definition. Refer to Access Control Policies and Skeletons Overview for rules to define a policy.
  4. Click OK.

    You are returned to the Access Control Profiles page.

Delete an Access Control Policy

You must be a superuser to delete an access control policy. An access control policy assigned to a profile cannot be deleted. Therefore, before you delete an access control policy, ensure that the policy is not assigned to any profile and the profile assigned to a user.

To delete an access control policy:

  1. Click Settings Menu > Control Profiles on the banner.

    The Access Control Profiles page appears.

  2. On the Policy Pool tab, click the policy that you want to delete.

    A confirmation message appears.

  3. Click Yes.

    The policy is deleted, and the policy is no longer listed under the Policy Pool tab of the Access Control Profiles page.
