About the Batch Imports Page
Use this topic to learn about how to use the Batch Imports page.
To access the Batch Imports page, Click Inventory > Devices > Device Batches. Alternatively, you can also open the Batch Imports page by clicking Device Batches on the Inventory page (Inventory > Devices > Network Inventory).
Tasks You Can Perform
You can perform the following tasks on the Batch Imports page:

View the batches of devices imported to Routing Director. See Table 1 for details.

View details of the device batches.
To view details of device batches that were imported, click the date and time link under Created At. The details such as the import status and the number of devices in the batch in each status is displayed on the View Batch page. See Table 2 for details.

Create a device batch for importing devices to Routing Director. See Add a Batch of Devices to Import

You can also perform the following tasks on this page:

Sort, resize, or re-arrange columns in a table (grid).

Show or hide columns in the table or reset page preferences, using the vertical ellipsis menu.

Search by using keywords—Click the search icon (magnifying glass), enter the search term in the text box, and press Enter. The search results are displayed on the same page.

Filter the data displayed in the table—Click the filter icon (funnel) and select whether you want to show or hide advanced filters. You can then add or remove filter criteria, save criteria as a filter, apply or clear filters, and so on. The filtered results are displayed on the same page.

Displays the date and time when the batch was created, as a link. Click the date and time link to view the details of the
batch import on the View Batch page.

| Imported |
Number of devices in the batch that are successfully imported to Routing Director. |
| Aborted |
Number of devices in the batch for which onboarding was aborted. Importing can be aborted only for devices that are in the pending, importing, or in the discovered states. Devices that are in the Defined or Imported status cannot be aborted. |
| Importing |
Number of devices for which the SSH connection is in progress. |
| Defined |
Number of devices added to a network implementation plan. The configurations in the network implementation plan are yet to be committed. |
| Discovered |
Number of devices identified in the batch. |
| Failed |
Number of devices in the batch that failed at some stage of device import. For example, during failure while establishing SSH connection, discovering the device, creating inventory and record, adding the device to network implementation plan or while committing configuration. The reason is shown in the Status Detail field on the View Batch page. See Table 2. |

Number of devices in the batch with pending SSH connections to Routing Director. |

Number of devices in the batch that Routing Director has added to the network implementation plan but the configuration in the network implementation plan is not yet committed on the device. After this stage the device import cannot be aborted or the device added to another batch. |

Number of devices in the batch that are fully onboarded, that is:

Number of devices in the batch that failed at some stage of device import. The import operation could fail while establishing SSH connection, discovering the device, creating inventory and record, adding the device to network implementation plan or while committing configuration. You can view the reason for the failure in the Status Detail of the device in the View Batch table. |

Device import is canceled manually. |
