Configure a PCE Server

Routing Director uses Path Computational Element Protocol (PCEP) sessions to discover tunnels that run in your network. To establish PCEP sessions between Routing Director and the devices managed by it, you must configure a VIP address using Deployment Shell. The VIP address can be configured either during installation of the Routing Director cluster or post-installation of the cluster.
To configure the PCE Server VIP address using Deployment Shell:
  1. Log in to installer node of the Routing Director cluster.
  2. Type configure to enter configuration mode.
  3. Configure the PCE Server VIP address, commit, and exit the configuration mode.

    Where:

pce-server-vip is the VIP address used by the PCE server.

  4. Regenerate the configuration files.
  5. Redeploy the PCE server application.
After you configure the PCE server, you can view tunnel-related information on the Tunnels tab of the network table (Observability > Network > Topology > Tunnels). For more information, see About the Tunnels Tab.
