Reboot a Router

Follow the steps described in this topic to reboot a router from Juniper Routing Assurance.

To use the router reboot utility, the router must be in connected state.
To reboot a router:
  1. Click Routers > Router Name in the navigation menu.
    The Routers:Router Name page appears.
  2. Click the Utilities drop-down list and select the Reboot Router utility.
    The Confirm Reboot pop-up appears.
  3. Type reboot to confirm the reboot action and click Confirm.
The Reboot Alert pop-up appears. A one-minute countdown timer begins. During this period, the router prepares for a safe reboot without immediately terminating active processes. This one-minute grace period provides users with a brief window to abort the reboot if the reboot is triggered unintentionally.
  4. Optional: Click Continue Anyway to bypass the remaining countdown and reboot immediately.
Router reboots immediately. Router rebooted notification appears in the banner.
Warning: Restarting a router in a live network will reset the routing tables on the router and might disrupt network traffic. Click Cancel Reboot to abort the action.
Note: If you don't take any action during the countdown, the router automatically reboots when the timer expires.
