Access Juniper Routing Assurance from Mist

If your enterprise network is managed using Mist, you can access important metrics related to the health and performance of the routers in your network by accessing Juniper Routing Assurance from Mist. To access Juniper Routing Assurance from Mist, you must link the organization in Juniper Routing Assurance with the organization in Mist.

Note:

You must be a superuser to link the organizations in Juniper Routing Assurance and Mist.

To access Juniper Routing Assurance from Mist:

  1. Log in to Juniper Routing Assurance and navigate to the Organization > Settings page.
  2. Locate the API Token tile and click Create Token.
    The Create Token pop-up appears.

  3. Enter a name for the token.
    (Optional) Select the user role to which the token is applicable.
  4. Click Generate.
    The token key is generated and displayed in the Key field.
  5. Click the Copy button.

    Note:

    Store the API token key in a secure location. You can copy the key only once and cannot retrieve the key later.

  6. Click Done.
    For information on how to manage API tokens, see Manage API Tokens.
  7. Log in to the Mist portal and navigate to the Organization > Settings page.
  8. Locate the Juniper Routing Assurance tile.

    Enter the following details:
    • Organization ID—Copy the organization ID from Juniper Routing Assurance and paste it here.

    • API Token Name─Enter API token name that you defined in step 3 in Juniper Routing Assurance.

    • API Token─Copy the token key generated in step 4 in Juniper Routing Assurance and paste it here.

  9. Click Save.

    The organizations in Mist and Juniper Routing Assurance are linked now.

  10. Navigate to WAN Edges > Core Routers to launch Juniper Routing Assurance.

    Juniper Routing Assurance opens in a new browser tab or window.

    Note:

    Ensure that your browser's pop-up blocker is disabled.

    You can view the list of routers that are onboarded to Juniper Routing Assurance.

    The monitoring and administration features will remain locked.

    To access these features and to start monitoring router events and gain insights into the onboarded routers, you must log in to Juniper Routing Assurance.

  11. Click Sign In on the top-right to be redirected to the Juniper Routing Assurance sign-in page.
  12. Enter you account credentials and click Sign In.
    After you log in successfully, you can start monitoring router events and gain insights into the onboarded routers from Juniper Routing Assurance. You can also start managing your Juniper Routing Assurance organization, user accounts, sites, and so on.
