Manage Your Global Workspace

Use this topic to create workspaces, configure domains, integrate identity providers, and manage user access in the Global Cloud Portal.

Workspace provides centralized management of Single Sign-On (SSO) and authentication settings for the Global Cloud Portal. Administrators can use it to configure domains, integrate identity providers, and manage user access.

From the Workspace page, you can perform the following tasks:

Create a Workspace

To create a workspace:
  1. Click Workspace on the Global Cloud Portal dashboard.
    The Workspace dashboard appears.
  2. Click Create New Workspace.
  3. Provide a unique name for your workspace and click Create.
The workspace is created. You can configure domains, integrate identity providers, and manage user access to the workspace.

Add Domains

Use the Domains tab to configure domains for SSO-based authentication.

A domain represents an organization’s email domain and is used to enable SSO login for users with matching email addresses.

To add and verify an organization's domain:

  1. Click Add Domain.
  2. Enter the domain name and click Next. For example, xyz.net.

A dialog box appears indicating that the domain claim has been initiated and that ownership of the domain must now be verified with the Domain Name System (DNS) before the domain can be considered claimed. Until then, the domain will remain in verification pending state.

  3. Copy the Domain verification TXT record.

  4. Add the TXT record to your domain provider’s DNS configuration.
Once added, wait for DNS propagation. This may take up to 72 hours.
  5. Return to the Workspace, click the three dots next to the domain and click Verify Domain.

Once verified, the domain can be used for SSO.

    Note:
    • Domain ownership verification is required before enabling SSO.
    • Unverified domains remain in pending state.
    • To delete a domain, click on the three dots and click Delete Domain.

Add Identity Provider

Use the Identity Providers section to configure external authentication providers for the Global Cloud Portal.

Click Add Provider and enter the required configuration details and save the settings. For field description, see Manage Identity Providers.

Invite and Manage Users

Use the Users tab to invite users to the workspace and manage user access.

To invite users:

  1. Click Add User.
  2. Enter the user’s email address and select a role.

You can provide users admin, write, or read-only access.

Note: Only users with an existing Global account can be invited to the workspace.
  3. Click Add User.

Once the user accepts the invitation, they can access and manage workspace configurations based on their assigned role.

Edit Workspace

Click Edit Workspace to update the name of the workspace.

Delete Workspace

Click Delete to permanently remove the workspace.

Warning: Deleting a workspace removes all domain and IdP configurations.
