Upgrade Images on Devices

Use this procedure to upgrade the software image installed on one or more devices.

Device image upgrade ensures that all the devices in your network run at peak efficiency, leveraging the latest features and security enhancements. A device image can be upgraded only to a version that is uploaded to Paragon Automation. To upload a required software image to Paragon Automation, see Upload a Software Image.

Note:

In this release, you can upgrade images only on devices of the same model at the same time.

To upgrade image installed on one or more devices:

  1. Click Observability > Health > Troubleshoot Devices.

    The Troubleshoot Device(s) page appears.

  2. Select one or more devices of the same model for which you want to upgrade the image and click More > Upgrade.

The Upgrade Device(s) page appears listing the devices that you selected for upgrading image.

  3. Select the image to which you want to upgrade from the Select Image drop-down list.

The Select Image drop-down list lists the images that are relevant to the selected device model.

  4. (Optional) If for some reason you don't want to upgrade the image on a device, select the device and click the Delete icon (dustbin) present above the list.
  5. Click OK to start the upgrade process. A message confirming that the upgrade request is successful is displayed along with a link to the Audit Logs (Settings Menu > Audit Logs) page. You can view the progress of the image upgrade on the Audit Logs page.
You can verify that the images are upgraded from the OS Version field on the Troubleshoot Devices page.
